What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

Three Medals in Aid of the Civil Authorities (bronze gilt, one with two clasps - BUFFALO 1913, DEPEW 1914, 33.5 mm, one with one clasp - POUGHKEEPSIE 1945 and one with one clasp - TRAFFIC 1945, 34 mm each, original ribbons with brooch pinbacks); Military Commendation Medal (bronze gilt with blue enamels, maker marked "DIEGES & CLUST NEW YORK" on the reverse, 33.7 mm x 40 mm, original ribbon with brooch pinback); Humane Service to New York State Medal (silver, 35.5 mm x 46.3 mm, original ribbon, suspended from a pinback hanger inscribed "NY CONSPICUOUS SERVICE"); two National Guard Recruiting Medals (bronze, one with one clasp - 10 RECRUITS, the other without clasp, 32.8 mm each, original ribbons with brooch pinbacks); and two National Guard Field Training Athletic Meet Medals for Swimming (sterling silver, maker marked "DIEGES & CLUST" with the company's eagle insignia and marked "STERLING" on the reverse, one engraved "50 YDS. SWIM BACKSTROKE 1928", the other engraved "400 FT. RELAY SWIM 1928", 34.8 mm each, soiled original ribbons with brooch pinbacks). Ranging from better than very fine to extremely fine.
