What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

A group of United States military insignia, including West Texas Military Academy (WTMA) collar tabs, constructed of gilded bronze, unmarked, large tab measures 62.7 mm (w) x 12 mm (h) while the small tab measures 55.5 mm (w) x 11.8 mm (h), each with two reverse loops for attachment to uniform, in very fine condition; a United Spanish War Veterans (USWV) Women’s Auxiliary badge, constructed of brown-painted zink, horizontal pinback, maker marked on reverse “Whitehead & Hoag, New Jersey”, measuring 35 mm (w) x 45 mm (h), in extremely fine condition; a Spanish-American War veteran’s cap badge, constructed of gilded bronze, horizontal pinback, maker marked on reverse “LAMB S. & S. CO. WASH. D.C.”, measuring 65 mm (w) x 42 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition; a set of ten West Texas Military Academy buttons, constructed of hollow bronze, obverse depicting raised WTMA coat of arms, reverse stamped “SUPERIOR QUALITY”, with loop for attachment to uniform, large buttons measuring 23 mm in diameter, small buttons measuring 15.5 mm in diameter, in near very fine condition, and; a medal bar featuring six decorations, presented on a 118 mm-long bar with a horizontal pinback, unmarked, in good condition.
