What's a max bid?

United States. A Miniature United States Naval Officer Model 1852 Sword

A miniature United States Naval Officer Model 1852 Sword. Measuring 247 mm in length when inserted into the scabbard. The sword features a 178 mm single ridged, magnetic metal blade with one semi-sharpened edge into a sharpened tip and a thickened dull edge opposite of the sharpened edge. The ricasso is plain and fits snugly into the crossguard; the cross guard is in the shape of a leaf with oak leaves and acorns throughout and one side bears a banner with “U.S.N”. The crossguard loops to the pommel and ends in the shape of an eagle head, the handle is ridged with nine rows of twisted wire at the recess, the pommel is the American Shield and surrounded with 13 stars. The scabbard is black and non-magnetic with a flattened gilded “U”-shaped finial. With two gilded bands with rope details and loops for hanger attachment.
