In bronze, obverse illustrating the left-facing bust of Benito Mussolini, surrounded by the inscription "BENITVS MVSSOLINVS DVX MCMXXXVI", reverse inscribed "I. RADUNO ITALIANO "DUX" MORRISTOWN, N.J. 16 AGOSTO 1936-XIV I. DELL'IMPERO", measuring 31.5 mm, original ribbon, obverse and edge is lacquered, extremely fine.
Footnote: Prior to the Second World War, there was some support for Benito Mussolini in the United States, mostly from the Italian-American Community, which was deeply divided over whether to support him or to oppose him. This medal is from a pro-Mussolini rally held at Morristown, New Jersey on August 16, 1936.
