In gold-colored bullion wire, in various textures, with red and blue embroidery, a touch of black threading representing the eagle's eye, the insignia illustrating a Maltese cross with crossed cannons, surmounted by an exploding grenade, the centerpiece bearing an eagle with laurels and arrows in its talons, the centerpiece ring inscribed "V.C.A. S.N.Y. 1790" along with a series of stars, on a black wool base, black cotton mesh backer, measuring 82 mm (w) x 107 mm (h), extremely fine.
