Entitled "Regulations for the Army of the Confederate States", with the additional notations "as Adopted by Act of Congress, Approved March 6, 1861, also containing The Articles of War and the Acts of Congress for the Organization of the Army of the Confederate States" on the lead page, published by Henry P. Lathrop, 74 Magazine Street, New Orleans, Louisiana and by Power & Cadwallader of Jackson, Mississippi in 1861. The handbook contains 246 pages printed in black ink on an off-white paper stock, with a brown cloth-based cover, the inside of the front and back covers in green paper with faded messages written in pencil, along with what appears to be the owner's name and regiment on the inside back cover, measuring 110 mm (w) x 143 mm (h) x 14.5 mm (d), exhibiting wear on the cover, along with foxing throughout. Fair.
