C-52 JAPAN AND SOUTH CHINA SEAS", the other side identified as "NO. C-53 EAST CHINA SEA", the Legend appearing on the former, both maps with places, roads, railways, rivers, wind directions, ocean current patterns and more noted, marked "For use by War and Navy Department Agencies only", "Conical Orthomorphic Projection with Two Standard Parallels 27° and 63° N. Latitude Scale 1:4,000,000" and "Advance Edition" along the top edge on both sides, tagged as "Prepared at the direction of the Commanding General, Army Air Forces, for the Aeronautical Chart Service by the Lake Survey Branch, Army Map Service, Detroit, Michigan FEBRUARY 1945 from G.S.G.S. 2956 Asia 1:4,000,000, Revised Edition 1942" at the lower left on both sides, measuring 83.5 mm (w) x 78 mm (h), free of tears and soiling, with fold marks, near extremely fine.
