1. M1 Helmet Liner Shell for a Second Lieutenant of the 63rd Infantry Division: in a hard, durable plastic, the exterior painted in dark green, with eleven rivet heads that secure the liner straps and chinstrap in place visible, Second Lieutenant's officer rank insignia placed on the front, the 63rd Infantry Division insignia painted in red and yellow on the right side, the dark brown leather chinstrap with adjustable buckle resting upon the protruding brim, the interior unpainted but exhibiting a "tortoise-shell" look, the light green canvas webbing attached to the body of the liner by six rivets, with canvas straps extending towards the middle from each rivet and linked to a circular canvas strap in the center, independent light green canvas webbing restraining strap with an additional dark green flexing canvas webbing strap affixed via four rivets at the rear, complemented by a tawny brown leather sweatband, the initials "WBS" painted in yellow ink on the right side behind the regimental insignia on the exterior, measuring 220 mm in width x 260 mm in depth x 160 mm in height, light contact evident on the exterior.
2. Field Artillery Hat, Named to Sergeant F. Gaskill, 112th Field Artillery Regiment: stiff-framed, exterior and interior in brownish-green wool, the dome designed with four recessed areas, with olive green finished metal eyelets on either side, dual strand of scarlet red cord resting upon the brim, with a large knot at the junction at the front and acorns at either end of the two cord ends, the front with a 112th Field Artillery Regiment insignia badge in bronze gilt with red, orange and black enamels secured in place by a screwback, underside with a dark brown chinstrap fed through oval eyelets placed in the brim, the chinstrap incorporating seventeen die-holes for length adjustment via buckles at either, the interior with a cinnamon brown sweatband with the ends stitched together at the back, stamped in black ink with the service number "23810605" and hand inscribed in black ink with the owner's name "SGT. F. GASKILL" at the front left and right respectively, measuring 325 mm in width x 320 mm in depth x 140 mm in height, free of mothing and very clean overall.
Better than very fine and near extremely fine, respectively.
