1. Mexican-American War National Association of Veterans of the Mexican War Medal 1846: in bronze, shield-shaped, obverse illustrating a cactus and fortress above the date "1846", all within an open-ended wreath of laurel leaves in the center, a ribbon banner below inscribed "PERRY, SCOTT, TAYLOR", the wreath surmounted by "MEXICO", the top of the shield bearing three icons, with crossed rifles and sword plus pistol in the center, flanked by a ship at the left and a cannon at the right, the wreath framed by the twenty-nine state stars, the perimeter of the shield listing the major battles of the war, clockwise from the top left: Tabasco, Veracruz, Palo Alto, Buena Vista, Cerro Cordo, Cherubusco, Chepultepec, San Pascual, measuring 54.2 mm (w) x 57.7 mm (h), original ribbon, missing its original National Association of Veterans hanger.
2. Spanish War Veterans Medal 1898-1902: in bronze, measuring 317 mm (w) x 35.5 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring, "United" trophy-of-arms suspension, clasp affixed to its original U.S. Flag style ribbon, the hanger bearing an eagle, shield and wreath and incorporating a pinback, in its presentation folder with snap closure.
