Two Society Australian Rifle Clubs Award Medals; 1936 and 1937
Two Society of Miniature Rifle Clubs Award Medals; 1936 and 1937 - Silver, both obverses illustrating a left-facing kangaroo, clusters of three standing rifles in an oval on either side, Royal coat-of-arms above, inscribed "SOCIETY OF MINIATURE RIFLE CLUBS" above and "THE B.S.A. CUP" below, reverse on the first version is hallmarked with the British lion, an anchor (made in Birmingham), date marked "L" (1935) and maker marked "J.A.R.", inscribed "WON BY" and engraved "ONTARIO 1936" in the centre, surrounded by the inscription "BRITISH COLONIES AND AUSTRALIAN STATES", with ring suspension, reverse on the second version is hallmarked with the British lion, an anchor (made in Birmingham), date marked "M" (1936) and maker marked "B.B." (Barker Brothers), inscribed "WON BY" and "1937" in the centre (un-named), surrounded by the inscription "BRITISH COUNTIES AND OVERSEA STATES", 35.4 mm each, extremely fine. The former medal in its hardshelled case of issue with recessed medal bed, the latter medal in its box of issue, both marked "The Society of Miniature Rifle Clubs, Codrington House, Water Lane, Ludgate, E.C.4." on the inside lid, scuffed exteriors, case and box very fine.
