Prussia. A First and Second War House Order of Hohenzollern Medal Bar Grouping

A first and second war German medal bar grouping of four medals, awards, and decorations, consisting of 1) An Iron Cross 1914 Second Class (Eisernes Kreuz 1914 2. Klasse); a cross pattée of multi-piece construction with a blackened iron core (magnetic) within a ribbed border; on loop for suspension; the obverse with a raised central “W”, with the re-institution date “1914” in raised numbering on the lower arm, and the royal crown on the upper arm; the reverse with a central oak-leaf branch consisting of three oak leaves, with the original institution date “1813” in raised numbers on the lower arm, a raised Prussian crown on the upper arm, with “FW” in equally raised lettering directly below; measuring 42.95 mm (w) x 43.41 mm (h). 2) A Prussian House Order of Hohenzollern Knight’s Cross with Swords (Königlicher Hausorden von Hohenzollern Kreuz der Ritter); a silver gilt cross and fine blue, green, black, and white enamels; on a crown suspension; a cross with rounded ends, with white-black white alternating enamels; with gilded crossed swords and a green enameled oak leaf wreath between the arms; the obverse with black a enameled Prussian eagle within a white enameled center medallion, surrounded by a blue enameled ring, circumscribed “Vom Fels zum Meer” (From mountain to the ocean); the reverse with a white enameled center medallion with the crown cipher, surrounded by a blue enameled ring circumscribed “Den 18 Januar 1851” (The 18th January 1851); maker marked “W” for “Richard Wagner”, and “938” for silver content; measuring 39.48 mm (w) x 59.20 mm (h). 3) A Hindenburg Cross “Ehrenkreuz des Weltkriegs 1914/1918”; a bronzed metal (magnetic) cross pattée with crossed swords between the arms of the cross; the obverse inscribed with “1914/1918” within an open-ended laurel wreath; the reverse plain; maker marked with an unknown mark on the reverse; measuring 37.80 mm (w) x 37.90 mm (h). 4) A 4-Year Civilian Faithful Service Cross; a silvered bronze cross pattee with a black enameled static swastika in the centre of the cross; the reverse inscribed “Für Treue Dienste” (For Loyal Services); the medal bar originally constructed for the first three awards - the Faithful Service Cross added in the 1930’s; measuring 120 mm (w) x 39 mm (h); horizontal pinback; in overall better than very fine condition.
