Prussia, Kingdom. A Red Eagle Medal Bar
(Ordensschnalle). A pre-war Prussian medal bar featuring five decorations, including an Order of the Red Eagle, IV Class, constructed of silver with enamels on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, the obverse with a central white enameled medallion bearing a hand-painted red Prussian imperial eagle, the reverse bearing a central raised monogram of King Friedrich Wilhelm II, the edge of the six o’clock arm maker marked with a “W” for Wagner & Sohn, Berlin, measuring 38.96 mm (w) x 42.44 mm (h); an Order of the Crown, IV Class, constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a central raised crown, set within a blue enameled ring bearing an inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD WITH US”) with arabesques, the reverse bearing a central raised monogram of King Wilhelm I, the edge of the six o’clock arm maker marked with a “W” for Wagner & Sohn, Berlin, measuring 43.13 mm (w) x 47.64 mm (h); an Officer’s 25-Year Long Service Cross, constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a central raised monogram of King Friedrich Wilhelm III, the reverse bearing a central raised number “25” in Roman numerals, unmarked, measuring 39.55 mm (w) x 43.30 mm (h); a Kaiser Wilhelm I Centenary Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 39.80 mm in diameter, and; a Schwarzburg Honour Cross, IV Class, constructed of silver, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting of an elongated Maltese Cross with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a stylized frame with a blue enameled centrepiece overlaid by a silvered Schwarzburg lion rampant, the revere plain, unmarked, measuring 39.95 mm (w) x 47.75 mm (h); all suspended from 155 mm-long bronze bar with a red wool reverse liner and horizontal pinback, unmarked, with minor flecking and oxidation evident to the decorations, in overall near extremely fine condition.
