(Preußische Rote Adlerorden Kreuz, II. Klasse mit Eichenlaub und Schwertern). Issued 1854-1918. Constructed of bronze gilt, with white enameled arms and crossed swords between the arms of the cross; the obverse with a white enameled circular medallion depicting an enameled Brandenburg crowned eagle; the reverse with the crowned cipher of King Friedrich Wilhelm III; on a loop for suspension, with a looped gold pair of oak-leaves attached -suspended from a shortened correct replacement ribbon; an unmarked example, but exhibiting the manufacturing characteristics of Wagner & Sohn; measuring 48.46 mm (w) x 52.73 mm (h); weighing 38.5 grams; in overall near extremely fine condition.
