A set of reference books by John R. Angolia, including: 1. A rare copy of “Cloth Insignia of the NSDAP and SA”, constructed of a card stock binding with a full-colour cover, the interior with 336 paginated pages featuring detailed information on the collar tabs, shoulder boards, armbands, and various uniform rank, trade, and specialist insignia of both the NSDAP and Sturmabteilung (SA), all supplemented with colour and black-and-white images, published in 1985 by R. James Bender Publishing, San Jose, California, measuring 160 mm (w) x 235 mm (h), with a handwritten dedication from Angolia and serial number of 224 from an initial print run of 500 copies, notably only 2,000 copies of the book published with the plates subsequently lost, a rare and seminal reference text in extremely fine condition. 2. A copy of “Daggers, Bayonets & Fighting Knives of Hitler’s Germany”, constructed of a card stock binding with a full-colour cover, the interior with 336 paginated pages featuring detailed information on all edged weapons produced and wielded by the Wehrmacht, NSDAP, police, and civil administrative agencies, with each example supplemented by black-and-white images of the weapons in wear and on exhibit, published in 1971 by R. James Bender Publishing, Mountain View, California, measuring 160 mm (w) x 235 mm (h), with minor soiling evident to the exterior, in overall extremely fine condition.
