A well-preserved edition of “The Treatise on the Snider: The British Soldier’s Firearm 1866 - c. 1880”, by Ian D. Skennerton. It is constructed of a heavy card stock binding and retains its paper stock dust jacket, with the obverse depicting a black-and-white image of a Snider rifle circumscribed by author and title. The interior content consists of 181 white paper pages extensively detailing the history of Snider firearms, including production, variations, and maker’s marks. It was self-published in 1977 by Skennerton in Australia. The book measures 160 mm (w) x 252 mm (h). There is some tearing and material fatigue evident to the dust jacket, but the book is in an otherwise near extremely fine condition.
