What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

Twenty-Two Percent (22%) of the Hammer Price

Russia, Imperial, Soviet Union. Russian Orders, Decorations and Medals

Hardcover, white cloth cover with orange and black inks, the text on the front cover and the spine in a orange, entitled "Russian Orders, Decorations and Medals: Including those of Imperial Russia, The Provisional Government, The Civil War and The Soviet Union", Second Edition, by Robert Werlich, copyrighted by the author in 1981, published by Quaker Press of Washington, D.C. in 1981, printed in the United States of America, beginning with the notation that the book was "dedicated to the memory of my mother, Gladys Hinckley Werlich, whose lifelong and enthusiastic interest in Russian history and related subjects encouraged the author to write this compendium". It covers the various orders, decorations and medals issued throughout Russian history by Imperial Russia and the Provisional Government, during the Civil War and by the Soviet Union, describing in detail the origins of each award, their reason for being issued, stating their institution dates, along with their medal content, size and the type of ribbon used. It begins with an Acknowledgements, followed by an Introduction and a List of Definitions. The book is divided into eleven chapters: 1. Imperial Orders (including, Bokhara and Georgia); 2. Imperial Decorations; 3. Imperial Medals; 4. Provisional Jettons; 5. Imperial Badges; 6. Imperial Table Medals; 7. Russian Rulers Series; 8. Civil War; 9. Soviet Orders; 10. Soviet Medals; 11. Regulations for Wearing Orders, Decorations and Medals of the USSR (as of 1979). It concludes with a Bibliography and a two page Index. The book contains 168 pages, the text printed in black ink, with most of the images in black, although there are a few pages with colour images of higher end awards scattered throughout the book, on a coated white paper stock, measuring 220 mm (w) x 285 mm (h) x 16.5 mm (d). It exhibits soiling on the inside front and back covers and their endpapers, along with pages 159-160, the remaining pages unaffected. Better than very fine.
