Reuss, County. A Princely Honour Cross, III Class with Swords, Miniature, c.1914
(Fürstlich Reußisches Ehrenkreuz, III. Klasse mit Schwertern). Instituted 24 May 1869 by Prince Henry XIV. (Issued 1909-1918). A silver Maltese Cross with rays and a set of crossed swords piercing the center of the cross, obverse with a red enameled central medallion depicting a Gold crowned coat of arms of Reuss, surrounded by a Gold ring, reverse with a black enameled central medallion depicting a Gold crowned royal cipher of Henry XIV, surrounded by a Gold ring, on loop for suspension, measuring 17.03 mm (w) x 20.47 mm (h), weighing 3.00 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in overall near extremely fine condition.
