Multi-piece construction, in silver with red and white enamels, unmarked, monogram of King Carol I in bronze gilt on the obverse centrepiece, measuring 37.7 mm (w) x 56.5 mm (h) inclusive of its crown suspension, tiny chip evident in the white enamels on the reverse of the arm at 3 o'clock, otherwise the enamels are intact, original military virtue ribbon with hook and eye, better than very fine.
Footnote: The Order of the Crown of Romania is a chivalric order established on March 14, 1881 by King Carol I of Romania, to commemorate the establishment of the Kingdom of Romania. It was awarded as a state order until the end of the Romanian monarchy in 1947 and was revived on December 30, 2011 as a dynastic order. The order had five classes: Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer and Knight.
