(Buxoro Ordeni). Instituted 1881. Grade III. Of local manufacture with Russian influences, in silver gilt consisting of eight multi rayed arms, centre applique with blue enamelled script cartouche denoting issue for non-Muslim, large decorative dark red enamelled surround, reverse with single central screw post, Russian style wing nut also in silver gilt, measuring 88 mm (w) x 83 mm (h), weighing 111.6 grams, with minor enamel wear, toned, very fine.
Footnote: The Order of Noble Bukhara was established as a Single Grade as "Nishoni dar-us-saltani Bukhoroi Sharif" in 1881 by Emir of Bukhara, Muzafar-ad-Din, in Bukhara, Uzbekistan, when Bukhara became a Russian protectorate.
