Russia, Imperial. A 1727 Grosh Coin
Constructed of copper, the obverse bearing a raised monogram of Empress Catherine I, the reverse bearing a central raised depiction of St. George slaying a dragon, situated above an inscription of “ГРОШЬ” (Grosh, for a face value of 2 kopeks) and within a stylized border, measuring 27.96 mm in diameter, weighing 8.9 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
