(Орден Святой Анны). Established as a Russian Imperial Order of chivalry by Karl Friedrich in 1735. Type II (1815-). Civil Division. Constructed of Gold, a superb miniature of the order consisting of a four-armed cross applique in impressive red enamels, presenting ornamented Gold patterns in each quadrant, the obverse center exhibiting a hand-made enameled figure of St. Anna in multiple colors, the reverse center bearing the hand-painted initials "A.I.P.F." for the Latin "Anna Imperatoris Petri Filia" (Anna, Emperor Peter's daughter), measuring 14.64 mm (w) x 16.25 mm (h - inclusive integral ring), weighing 1.8 grams, with minor faded enamel on the reverse, otherwise extremely fine condition.
