(Medaille des Sachsen-Ernestinischen Hausorden Sachsen-Coburg und Gotha). Instituted on 25 December 1833. Type 1. (1835-1895 Issue). A round, gilded silver medal, the obverse depicting a leftward facing bust of Wilhelm Ernst, circumscribed b/y his name and title, the reverse depicting a Merit Cross, circumscribed FIDELITER ET CONSTANTER (Faithfully and Consistently), marked with silver hallmarks crescent moon, crown, and 0.990, measuring 38.60 mm in diameter, weighing 24.6 grams, with period original ribbon, and in overall near extremely fine condition.
