What's a max bid?

Schaumburg-Lippe, Principality. A Silver Chain of the Leopold Order, Private Issue

(Leopold-Orden, Silberne Kette). Instituted 24 June 1906 by Prince Leopold IV. (1916-1918 issue). A rare and privately-made Silver Chain of the Princely Schaumburg-Lippe House Order, consisting of 32 silver links joined together at both the top and bottom by a chain, 16 of the links consisting of finely-detailed Lippian roses, each bearing a central enameled Schwalenberg coat of arms, within green enameled rings bearing silvered inscriptions of “FIDELITER SINE TIMORE” (“FAITHFUL WITHOUT FEAR”), each measuring 26.96 mm (w) x 23.90 mm (h), 12 of the links consisting of small monograms of Prince Leopold, each measuring 18.20 mm (w) x 22.28 mm (h), and four of the links consisting of large double monograms of Prince Leopold, each measuring 35.77 mm (w) x 33.92 mm (h), with one of the large cyphers bearing chains formerly accommodating a badge of the order that has since been lost, closed with a slide and functional snap button located on the reverse of one of the Lippian rose links, unmarked, weighing 231 grams overall, in overall near extremely fine condition.
