(1914 Ehrenmedaille für Kriegsverdienst). A round silvered magnetic medal; the obverse depicting the crowned royal monogram of Georg, and dated “1914”; the reverse inscribed “VERDIENST IM KRIEGE” (German - Merit in War), within a laurel and oak wreath; with its period original ribbon; measuring 39.60 mm in diameter; in overall better than fine condition.
