(Orden Svetog Save). Instituted in 1883. Type II (1903-1922). A beautiful star of French manufacture, consisting of an eight point silver star with clusters of faceted rays, the obverse medallion in silver gilt features a lovely white and blue enamelled Maltese cross with ball finials, double headed crowned eagles in each quadrant, the obverse medallion features Saint Sava in red robes, surrounded by the inscription троvломb сконмb вbса прнобрвте (One’s Own Work Achieves All), the reverse presents a vertical pin flanked by dual stays, unmarked but characteristic of French maker Bertrand, measures 89.3mm (w) x 92.5mm (h), weighs 91.8 grams, minor chips to blue enamel ring, lovely patina, in near extremely fine condition.
