1. Order of Aeronautical Merit, III Class Commander (Ordem do Mérito Aeronáutico). Instituted in 1943. Four-piece construction, in silver with blue, white, yellow and green enamels, weighing 89.8 grams, measuring 61.3 mm (w) x 74.7 mm (h) inclusive of its integral wings suspension, with a silver loop bearing a series of repeating laurel leaves, intact enamels, missing its full-length neck ribbon. Accompanied by its Ribbon Bar with large rosette affixed, dual push pin points, and its 10.7 mm wide Rosette, in their hardshelled case of issue, navy blue pebbled exterior, Brazilian coat-of-arms in gold-coloured ink on the lid, inside lid in white nylon, padded and maker marked "Randal RIO", base with a medal bed in navy blue felt, with recessed medal beds for the Order, Ribbon Bar, Rosette and the missing Miniature, case measuring 123 mm (w) x 180 mm (h) x 34 mm (d), exhibiting marks on the exterior and soiling on the white nylon lining on the inside lid.
2. Order of Aeronautical Merit, V Class Knight (Ordem do Mérito Aeronáutico). Instituted in 1943. Four-piece construction, in bronze gilt with blue, white, yellow and green enamels, measuring 43.2 mm (w) x 49 mm (h) inclusive of its integral suspension, suspended from hook on the reverse of its wings suspension, original ribbon with dual push pins, intact enamels. Accompanied by its Ribbon Bar, measuring 36.7 mm (w) x 11.2 mm (h) with dual push pins, and its 10.8 mm wide Rosette with push pin, in their hardshelled case of issue, dark green dimpled exterior, inside lid in yellow nylon, base with a medal bed in brown felt and slotted, case measuring 102 mm (w) x 155 mm (h) x 37.5 mm (d), scuff mark evident on the lid.
