(Condecoración de Honor por Servicios Distinguidos). Instituted in 1983. In bronze gilt with red enamels, mounted to a bronze gilt base with twenty-nine emanating rays, measuring 64.5 mm (w) x 63.7 mm (h), vertical pinback, intact enamels, extremely fine.
Footnote: The Decoration of Honour for Distinguished Service (AKA Star of September 11) was instituted on September 11, 1983 and was awarded to members of the four branches of the armed forces (army, navy, air force, police) for participating in the coup against President Salvador Allende in 1973.
