In silver gilt, a rich blue enamel Maltese cross with ball finials, nicely enamelled kantutas flowers in each quadrant, the obverse medallion presents a hand painted landscape of the Bolivian Andes, surrounded by an enamelled white ring inscribed LA UNION ES LA FUERZA MCMXXV, reverse medallion with initial RB (for Republic of Bolivia) on a pink enamel background, suspended by a Condor in silver gilt, measuring 51.3mm (w) x 71.9mm (h – inclusive of condor suspension), weighing 40.2 grams, enamel flakes present on the arms, enamels otherwise intact, lovely patina, light gilt wear, in very fine condition.
Accompanied by the full-length green silk sash, in very fine condition.
