A fine ball-tipped enameled blue Maltese cross in silver, adorned with nicely enameled kantutas flowers in each quadrant, obverse centre featuring a handmade landscape of the Bolivian Andes, surrounded by an enameled white ring inscribed LA UNION ES LA FUERZA MCMXXV, reverse medallion with initial RB (for Republic of Bolivia) on a pink enamel background, suspended by a solid displaying Condor in silver, measuring 43.39 mm (w) x 60.52 mm (h - inclusive of Condor suspension), on original Knight’s ribbon, presenting light contact, minor chipping on the condor affix, otherwise near extremely fine.
Footnote: The National Order of the Andean Condor was instituted on April 18, 1925. The Order is the highest official decoration in Bolivia. It is conferred to Bolivian and foreign citizens, and institutions, in recognition of either meritorious civil or military services to improve the development and progress of Bolivia and humanity. The Order can be awarded in postmortem.
