A beautiful enameled green eight-armed cross in silver gilt, featuring detailed laurel branches between the arms, obverse with a gilt octagonal medallion exhibiting an engraved landscape consisting of a tractor in front of a sun rising behind the mountains, surrounded by an enameled red border inscribed MERITO AGRICOLA - REPUBLICA PERUANA (Agricultural Merit - Peruvian Republic), plain reverse, suspended by a very unusual ornament loop suspension, marked by C.N. MONEDA LIMA, the Peruvian official mint since its creation in 1565, with mark denoting 925 silver, measuring 60.66 mm (w) x 51.50 mm (h - inclusive of integral arc), with toned silver, extremely fine.
