What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Instituted in 1965. Badge (three-piece construction, in bronze gilt with lacquered navy blue and white enamels, measuring 43.3 mm (w) x 44 mm (h) inclusive of its laterally-pierced ball suspension, on its full-length sash that exhibits one small stain); Breast Star (two-piece construction, insignia in bronze gilt with navy blue enamels, lacquered centrepiece ring, mounted to a silvered bronze base, measuring 78.5 mm (w) x 74.5 mm (h), vertical pinback); and Miniature (in bronze gilt with navy blue and white enamels, measuring 15 mm (w) x 15 mm (h) rosette on its original ribbon with pin). Intact enamels, light contact, near extremely fine. In its case of issue, marked "ORDEN ANDRES BELLO / PRIMERA CLASE" on the lid, marked "DISTINTIVOS VENEZOLANOS FABRICANTES" (Distinctive Venezuelan Manufacturers) on the inside lid, lightly soiled red felt medal bed, case also near extremely fine.
