Insignia badge in silvered bronze with red and green enamels, measuring 41.3 mm (w) x 41.3 mm (h), mounted to a 45.5 mm in diameter magnetic plate via two of the four intact loops on the badge, an additional two loops soldered to the reverse of the plate, intact enamels and residue evident on the insignia badge from cleaning, near extremely fine.
Footnote: The Royal and Military Order of St Ferdinand was instituted on August 31, 1811 and is awarded to members of the armed forces for heroic acts and distinguished services. It may be awarded individually or collectively, in three grades: Grand Cross, Cross of Honour and Military Medal, in addition to a Sovereign's Collar and Grand Master's Collar.
