FALOT" on the obverse, measuring 35 mm (w) x 40.3 mm (h) inclusive of its laterally-pierced ball suspension, edge nicks, bruised, contact marks, three clasps affixed to its original ribbon, the Miravalles clasp unofficial, fine.
Footnote: The Medal of Alfonso XII was established by Royal Decree on September 8, 1875 and was conferred upon Army and Navy forces and issued "to the victorious armies of the Carlists and defenders of the social order in 1873 and 1874".
