Silver with red and white enamels, marked "A" on the bottom of the loop, maker marked "M" (V. Mayers Söhne Wien) and silver hallmarked on the integral ring, 30.7 mm, original triangular ribbon, chipping evident in the red enamels on the right tip of the lower arm, better than very fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, marked "MILITAER VERDIENSTKREUZ III. KLASSE K. D." on the lid, maker marked "V. MAYERS SÖHNE WIEN" on the inside lid, recessed medal bed, wear evident in the fabric overlaying the hinged area, scuffed and soiled on the exterior, case better than fine. (C:102)
