1914-15 Star (633 Pte S.L. FARRELL 3/L.H. RGT. AIF.); British War Medal (633 Sgt S.L. FARRELL. 3/L.H. RGT. A.I.F.); and Victory Medal (633 Sgt S.L. FARRELL. 3-L.H.R. A.I.F.). Naming is officially impressed. Un-mounted, original ribbons, dark patina on the BWM, spotting and discolouration on the VM, very light contact, near extremely fine.
Footnote: Stanley Longhurst Farrell enlisted as a Private (633) with the 3rd Light Horse Regiment on November 19, 1914, at the age of 22, for service during the First World War. He named his next-of-kin as his father, J.H. Farrell of Poltallach Station, Mileng, South Australia, stating that he was Single, that his religion was Roman Catholic and that his trade was that of Motor Mechanic. He embarked Australia on December 21, 1914.
