Order of the Provincial Old Guard (POG) Masonic Ten Year Service Star (four-piece construction, in sterling silver with blue enamels, measuring 65.5 mm (w) x 65.5 mm (h), chipping and crazing evident in the blue enamels, horizontal pinback and suspension loop on the reverse); HS Badge (three-piece construction, in silver with white enamels, hallmarked with a boar's head denoting French manufacture and silver content post-1838 on the ring, measuring 28 mm (w) x 32.8 mm (h) inclusive of its laterally pierced ball suspension, chipping and crazing evident in the white enamels on both sides, large rosette on its original ribbon); and German-Based Bisonia Membership Badge (two-piece construction, insignia in silver with red enamels, mounted to a Rupert cross base in bronze gilt with red enamels, maker marked "AD:SCHWEDT STUTTGART" on the reverse, measuring 42.3 mm (w) x 46.3 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring, chipping in the green enamels on the arm at 6 o'clock). This offering is a part of the "Dr. Albert Goodwin Collection", a preeminent assemblage of world Orders, Medals, and Decorations composed solely by Dr.Goodwin between 1946-1967. Dr. Goodwin had a successful career as an educator and prominent physician in New York as well as actively serving in both World Wars with the United States Medical Corps. He acted as both President and Vice-President of the Orders and Medals Society of America (OMSA) and is responsible for organizing their first convention in 1960. He maintained further membership with the American Society of Military Collectors, the International Orders Research Society, and the American Numismatic Society.
