(Ordo Beatae Mariae de Mercede Redemptionis Captivorum). Instituted in 1218. An original presentation case of issue for an Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mercy, constructed of red velvet, the obverse presents an the order’s coat of arms in addition to the maker mark MONS. LE COMM. JOSEPH FIRMIN-ALFRED LANGLAIS, ROMA 7 GIUGNO 1931, the interior with a white satin lining, stamped with O. RAGAJOLI DECORAZIONI D’ ORDINI EQUESTRI, BABUINO 51, ROMA, with an intact hinge cover, a black velvet medal bed, with functional clasp, measuring 119 mm (w) x 254 mm (l) x 45 mm (h), displaying moderate scuffing and wear, and in good condition.
