(Attributed to Major G.T. Mould, Indian Medical Service, 1st Duke of York's Own Lancers) In Bronze with a gold-coloured gilt, engraved ""MAJOR G.T. MOULD I.M.S. 1st D.S.O. LANCERS"" on the reverse, 36.5 mm (w) x 47 mm (h) inclusive of its swivel suspension, original ribbon with embroidered insignia, pagoda-style hanger with pinback, extremely fine.
Footnote: Surgeon-Captain G.T. Mould, Indian Medical Service is listed in the British Medical Journal of July 27, 1889, page 221, as being appointed to the officiating charge of the 4th Bengal Cavalry. In The Lancet of November 5, 1892, page 1069, Surgeon-Captain G.T. Mould is documented as being with the 1st Bengal Cavalry and is listed as from the officiating to the Medical Charge of the regiment, with effect from August 4th, 1892. In the India Medical Gazette of July 1900, he is listed as a Medical Officer detailed for service with the Indian Troops going to China with the 1st Bengal Lancers. In the India Medical Gazette of July 1901, the service of Major G.T. Mould, I.M.S. was placed at the disposal of the Central Provinces.
