What's a max bid?

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

(Nishan al-Nil); Silver gilt with white and blue enamels, maker marked "LATTES" (J. Lattes of Cairo) on the reverse, 52.2 mm (w) x 74 mm (h) inclusive of its crown suspension, large rosette on its original ribbon, intact enamels, extremely fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, maker marked "J. LATTES LE CAIRE" (J. Lattes of Cairo) on the inside lid, recessed medal bed, case also extremely fine.

Footnote: The Order of the Nile was instituted in 1915 by Sultan Hussein Kamel, to reward persons, military or civilian, who had rendered useful service to Egypt. It was reconstituted under the Arab Republic of Egypt on June 18, 1953, but without the crown. In the Kingdom of Egypt, the Order of the Nile ranked beneath the Order of Ismail. (C:41)
