What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Lattes of Cairo) on the reverse, 52.2 mm (w) x 74 mm (h) inclusive of its crown suspension, large rosette on its original ribbon, intact enamels, extremely fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, maker marked "J. LATTES LE CAIRE" (J. Lattes of Cairo) on the inside lid, recessed medal bed, case also extremely fine.

Footnote: The Order of the Nile was instituted in 1915 by Sultan Hussein Kamel, to reward persons, military or civilian, who had rendered useful service to Egypt. It was reconstituted under the Arab Republic of Egypt on June 18, 1953, but without the crown. In the Kingdom of Egypt, the Order of the Nile ranked beneath the Order of Ismail. (C:41)
