Germany, Heer. An Officer’s Tropical Belt and Buckle, by G. Reinhardt
(Tropen Gürtel mit Schnalle). A Heer Officer’s tropical belt and buckle, the former constructed of khaki-coloured woven canvas, with one end completing in an integrated zink alloy loop emanating from the buckle, the reverse bearing a brown leather strap embossed with a maker’s mark of “G. REINHARDT, BERLIN 1941”, with two slidable canvas loops for an adjustable fit, measuring 45 mm (w) x 1040 mm (l), in near extremely fine condition; the latter constructed of a zink alloy, the obverse bearing a raised central Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, with a circular oak leaf wreath, the reverse with a clip and aforementioned loop, unmarked, measuring 50 mm in diameter, with some oxidation evident, in overall better than very fine condition.
