Germany, Wehrmacht. A Wound Badge, Gold Grade with Case, by Hauptmünzamt Wien
(Verwundetenabzeichen in Gold). A Wound Badge constructed of gilded tombak, the obverse depicts a Stahlhelm (Steel Helmet) bearing a mobile swastika on top of crossed swords over a pebbled field with a laurel branch wreath, reverse marked “30” for Hauptmünzamt Wien, reverse presents a vertical pinback, measuring 36.26 mm (w) x 43.79 mm (h), and in near very fine condition, with hard-shelled case of issue, with a pebbled exterior, maker label on bottom for HAUPTMÜNZAMT WIEN III, with white rayon lined inside cover, measuring 68 mm (w) x 70 mm (l) x 16 mm (h), and in very fine condition.
