France. French North Africa Garrison Cap with Four Casablanca Tickets
Fabricated from a fine navy blue wool, with fold down flaps also in navy blue wool on either side, two rising peaks forming a valley between the two panels, the valley in forest green wool, the panels trimmed in forest green wool piping, with two brass ball-style buttons securing the panels at the front. The inside is not lined, the 28 mm wide sweatband in black cotton, with faded markings on the left side, however, the size stamping "55" is still clearly legible. The cap measures 270 mm (w) x 120 mm (h), with soiling evident in selected areas on the exterior and throughout the interior. Fine. Accompanied by four Casablanca related tickets: two "Orchestre 1re série" (Orchestra 1st Series) tickets (printed in black ink on a white paper stock, numbered "428281" and "428282", measuring 87 mm (w) x 60 mm (h) and 72 mm (w) x 60 mm (h) respectively); a "Le Verdun Casablanca Orchestre" (Orchestra) ticket (printed in black ink on an orange paper stock, numbered "013572", 27 mm (w) x 42 mm (h); and an "A. B. C. Casablanca Faut. 1e Série" (1st Series) ticket (printed in black ink on a yellow paper stock, numbered "422070", 30 mm (w) x 38 mm (h)).
