A well worn but also well preserved example of a standard issue EM/NCO’s Wehrmacht Heer (Army) belt and buckle; the buckle constructed of metal (magnetic) with all of its original finish worn off; the obverse with a circular rope, with the lower half of the circle filled with an oak wreath, and the other half inscribed “Gott Mit Uns” with a smaller circular rope, and a raised lightly textured field with a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a mobile swastika in its talons; accompanied by a dark chocolate coloured leather tab - dated 1940, maker marked but illegible; measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h). Accompanied by a brown leather belt; with an aluminum catch; with a leather tab with five sets of double vertically pierced holes for length adjustment; 109 cm x 43 mm; in overall very fine condition.
