Klasse) by Steinhauer & Lück of Lüdenscheid; a cross pattée of multi-piece construction with a blackened iron core (magnetic) within a ribbed border; the obverse with a raised central mobile swastika with the re-institution date “1939” in raised numbering on the lower arm; the reverse plain, with a slender banjo style vertical pinback, a barrel hinge, and a flat catch; maker marked “4” and “L/16”, both for Steinhauer & Lück, Lüdenscheid; measuring 44.27 mm (w) x 44.23 mm (h); weighing 19.0 grams. Accompanied by its presentation case; constructed of heavy pressed paper, with a faux leather (leatherette) exterior, with an outline of an Iron Cross embossed in silver on the exterior; lined interior lid, with a functional spring catch with stud release; intact interior fabric hinge cover and functional exterior metal hinge; measuring 69 mm (w) x 69 mm (h); the cross with the core well preserved, with attractive dark patina on the frame from age; in overall better than very fine condition.
