(Currency, Coins). Antique. The first coin is dated 1912 and is a circular coin constructed of 21kt yellow gold. The obverse features an indigenous man in a feathered headdress, topped with the inscription “LIBERTY” with stars and below is the date “1912”. Below the neck of the man is the mark “B.L.P.” for the designer Bela Lyon Pratt. The reverse features the image of an eagle perched on a bundle of arrows wrapped with laurel. To the left and right of the bird is the inscription “E PLURIBUS UNUM” and “IN GOD WE TRUST”. The top bears the inscription “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and the bottom below the eagle reads “2 ½ DOLLARS”. The edge of the coin is reeded. The coin is unmarked and measures 17.78mm and weighs 4.2 grams. This coin has been graded AU55 by ICCS (International Coin Certification Service).

The obverse features an indigenous man in a feathered headdress, topped with the inscription “LIBERTY” with stars and below is the date “1925”. Below the neck of the man is the mark “B.L.P.” for the designer Bela Lyon Pratt. The reverse features the image of an eagle perched on a bundle of arrows wrapped with laurel. Beside the point of the arrow is a “D” mark indicating it was minted in Denver. To the left and right of the bird is the inscription “E PLURIBUS UNUM” and “IN GOD WE TRUST”. The top bears the inscription “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and the bottom below the eagle reads “2 ½ DOLLARS”. The edge of the coin is reeded. It measures 17.73mm and weighs 4.2 grams. This coin has been graded AU50 by ICCS (International Coin Certification Service).
