(Fürstlich Liechtensteinischer Verdienstorden, Kommturkreuz). Instituted on 22.7.1937 by Duke Franz I. (Issued 1937-Present). A silver gilt medallion cross pattee constructed of silver gilt and blue and red enameled arms, with a central blue enameled medallion bearing the gilt monogram “L” for “Liechtenstein, surrounded by a red ring of enamels, the reverse with a similar central blue enameled medallion, inscribed with the gilt royal monogram of Franz I, surrounded by a red ring of enamels, suspended from a ring and broad loop for suspension from its period original neck ribbon, measuring 55.03 mm (w) x 60.80 mm (h), weighing 54.6 grams. The breast star constructed of silver faceted rays, the obverse constructed of silver gilt and blue and red enameled arms, with a central blue enameled medallion bearing the gilt monogram “L” for “Liechtenstein, surrounded by a red ring of enamels, the reverse plain, with a broad vertical pinback - marked “A-R” for “Anton Reiterer” and “800” for silver content, with a functional hinge and catch assembly, also marked “Anton Reiterer Juwilier, Wien IX, Schubertg. 24” on the reverse, measuring 78.26 mm (w) x 77.90 mm (h), weighing 67.6 grams, in overall better than very fine condition.
