Of French manufacture, likely Halley, consisting of a hand filed eight pointed silver star, an 18Kt solid Gold Maltese cross overlay with red and white enamels, green enameled laurel wreath, affixed by four gold rivets, centre presenting the Gold royal cypher of Charles III, with red spiral enamel background, white enamel surround boarded by filed silver margin, reverse with two stays as well as large pin assembly, measuring 89 mm (w) x 89 mm (h), missing tip of 10 o'clock arm, with minor enamel loss, very fine.
This offering is a part of the "Dr. Albert Goodwin Collection", a preeminent assemblage of world Orders, Medals, and Decorations composed solely by Dr.Goodwin between 1946-1967. Dr. Goodwin had a successful career as an educator and prominent physician in New York as well as actively serving in both World Wars with the United States Medical Corps.
