What's a max bid?

Type III (1937- on); In silver with red, white and blue enamels, unmarked, type III without the lion on the crown, 42.7 mm (w) x 63 mm (h), original ribbon with pinback, intact enamels, extremely fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, maker marked "J. TOSTRUP OSLO" on the inside lid, recessed medal bed, light scuffing on the exterior, case near extremely fine.

Footnote: The Royal Norwegian Order of Saint Olav is an order of chivalry instituted by King Oscar I on August 21, 1847. It is named after King Olav II, known to posterity as St. Olav. and is awarded in six classes: Grand Cross with Collar, Grand Cross, Commander with Star, Commander, Knight 1st Class and Knight.
