Germany, Third Reich. A Set of Silver Cuff Links Presented to Otto Meissner by Reichsminister Joachim von Ribbentrop
(Manschattenknöpfe). A unique and matching set of cuff links, each constructed of silver with a consistent patina, the obverse of each featuring a pebbled disc overlaid by a NSDAP-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, in turn set atop a globe, the reverse of both with a functional sliding lug, both carefully engraved with a dedication of “DR. OTTO MEISSNER / 13. 3. 1940 / RIBBENTROP” indicating that the cufflinks were presented to Chief of the Presidential Chancellery Dr. Otto Meissner by Reichsminister of Foreign Affairs Joachim von Ribbentrop, each stamped with a silver content number of “800”, both measuring 21 mm in diameter and weighing 17.4 grams in total, a desirable customized gift set gifted between two key Third Reich governmental figures in extremely fine condition.
