A centre piece from a 1914 Grand Cross of the Iron Cross, constructed of magnetic iron, the obverse with a central W, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of 1914 and the twelve o’clock arm with the royal crown, the reverse centre presents three central oak leaves, the six o’clock arm with the initial institution date of 1813 and the twelve o’clock arm with the initials FW topped by a royal crown, measuring 53.44 mm (w) x 53.77 mm (h), weighing 24.4 grams, and in near very fine condition.
